**If a technician can’t help you fix the issue over the phone, he/she will suggest options for in-home repair. These options include 1) if your repair is covered by a plan from HomeServe in which you are currently enrolled, we will arrange the in-home repair for you in accordance with the terms of your plan; 2) if your repair is not covered under a plan from HomeServe or you are not currently enrolled in a plan from HomeServe, we will, subject to availability and at your election, connect you to a local, licensed, pre-screened technician in our network or refer you to a local contractor. As part of our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, technicians are trained and have personal protective equipment (PPE) to help to keep you and your home safe. Frequently Asked Questions

What can you repair?
Telefix offers FREE, expert, over-the-phone assistance for electrical, plumbing, water heater and HVAC (heating/cooling) home repair issues.
How much time will the contractor spend on the phone with me?
Most calls average around 15-20 minutes to diagnose the problem and then help you DIY fix it.
How can I fix it myself?
Telefix contractors will help to diagnose the electrical, plumbing or HVAC issue over the phone and will provide FREE step-by-step assistance to help you troubleshoot and fix it yourself.
Is it safe for me to fix it myself?

Telefix pre-screened plumbers, electricians, and heating and cooling contractors are trained to help you attempt easy repairs by guiding you through step-by-step instructions over the phone. Our contractors and technicians will not have you attempt anything dangerous or that would cause a future repair issue. If the call doesn't help fix the issue, will you find a licensed technician to conduct the repair in my home?
If a technician can’t help you fix the issue over the phone, we can help find you the right licensed technician if you’d like. Contractors and technicians in our network are licensed and insured professionals who have been pre-screened to deliver quality service.

What if I have a plan from HomeServe?
If the Telefix technician can’t help you fix your home repair issue over the phone and the repair is covered by a current plan from HomeServe, we will arrange the in-home repair for you in accordance with the terms of your plan. If your repair is not covered under your plan, we will, subject to availability, connect you to a local, licensed, pre-screened technician in our network or refer you to a local contractor.
If I’m not currently a HomeServe customer, will having a contractor come to my home for a repair cost me anything?

We are happy to help homeowners without an electrical, plumbing or HVAC plan from HomeServe by connecting you to a local, licensed, pre-screened technician in our network or referring you to a local contractor, subject to availability.
